Complementary Program Committee

The Complementary Program Committee is designing the Complementary Program.

The Complementary Program is primarily made for allied health professionals, non-specialists, patient leaders and industry representatives who attend the IFPA Conference.

The program focus on topics such as daily life problems for patients, psychosocial aspects, ”hands on”, best practice, healthcare professional/patient relationship, patient safety, treatment adherence and challenges, and advocacy.

Hoseah Waweru, M.D. has been practicing as a dermatologist for almost four decades and is both founder and long-serving Chairman of the Kenya Association of Dermatologists. Dr. Waweru has specialized focus in psoriasis care and is the founding President of the Psoriasis Association of Kenya. Throughout the years, he has delivered many lectures on psoriasis across the world. Dr. Waweru has been past chairman of the complementary program at the 5th and  6th World Psoriasis & Psoriatic Arthritis Conference , now known as the  IFPA Conference.

Professor of Dermatology and Venereology at Ain Shams University, Cairo, Egypt.
Head of the Egyptian Board of Dermatology.
Board member of the International psoriasis council.

Prof. El-Sayed is the Head of the Egyptian Board of Dermatology and involved in the ministry of health combined committee for Biologic therapy for psoriasis patients together with her fellow rheumatologists. She has lectured widely at international meetings. She is a member of multiple national and international dermatology societies and has organized many congresses. She is very committed to improving the outcomes for patients with psoriasis in Egypt and has on numerous occasions lobbied the government to improve access to healthcare and medicine.
